Beginner Yoga Workshop

Build the foundations of your yoga practice with this workshop.

This workshop is for you if you are entirely new to Yoga. It will provide the fundamental building blocks to support you in feeling more confident within general studio classes.

We will start by looking at how to create firm foundations with our hands and feet and how this provides a solid base for common yoga poses.

Next, we go through how the spine’s four functional movements work – forward, back, side, and twist, and how to engage the whole body within these four functions for maximum benefit. We explore alignment principles of your joints, how muscles engage and how poses can be adapted to suit your personal biomechanics and ability.

Pain Free backbend Workshop

Suitable for both beginners and experienced yogis.

Back pain, significantly lower back pain is a common issue. During our yoga practice sometimes we let our ego win and we put ourselves into the backbend even if we feel pain (upward dog, bridge pose, wheel pose, bow pose, etc). There are more options than a backbend with pain or don’t backbend. With the aerial yoga swing, we can support the spine to extend and notice what are we missing in order to do our backbend free of pain and healthier.

What is a backbend? It is actually an extension of the spine.
Support extension of the spine with the swing to better understand the backbends on the mat.

What to know before taking a yoga class with us

  • Our yoga Bali studio opens 30 min before the class starts.
  • We ask our yogis to come to the studio 10 min before the class starts.
  • Limited availabilities, so if you want to be sure to get a mat please book in advance. 10 students maximum.
  • If you or anyone that you have been in contact with is feeling unwell please stay at home and rest.
  • If you own your own mat or have a towel to cover the studio mat please bring it with you.
  • Bring a sarong or scarf to cover the props you might need.
  • We will clean yoga mats and props after each yoga session.
  • All yoga students must be registered and paid before joining any yoga class Nusa Lembongan.
  • The yoga packages are not refundable.
  • A deposit will be asked for any private Yoga sessions

The class was perfect for all levels, as it was a gentle flow. The studio is beautiful open-air (yes they have fans!). We were greeted with a fresh juice, and you have the option to order additional smoothies/juices there. Overall it is a great little spot! Relaxing… And the instructor was great as well. No complaints other than some residential noise, which can’t exactly be avoided 🙂

Our instructor Tom is a cool Aussie surfer yogi on the island to enjoy his two passions – you guessed it yoga and the amazing surf. I enjoyed an afternoon 90 minutes of slow-flow so much I returned for more including a memorable vinyasa flow. Greeted with a cool juice and warm reception it’s well worth a visit.
